Dark Heresy Ep 1: Heart of Ambulon part 1 of 3

*WaWarrning* These games are some of the first games we ever ran and as such, the audio quality isn’t great.*

After to much time, we finally have our first post up. Listen as four servants of the inquisition journey into the dark world of Warhammer 40k while completely messing up the rules in our ignorance. We get better later on we promise.

I love it! Rockin the next three episodes as soon as possible. You guys should hit up Nerdbound for a shoutout–they do a Rogue Trader game of their own from time to time and are always down to hook up other podcasters.

    I really enjoyed this guys.

Good game! I enjoyed the fight and all. But you made a HORRIBLE mistake during play. Toughness subtracts from damage of attacks, thus your characters and the enemy were taking way too much damage. Your other green mistake is that armor points are DOUBLED aginst primitive weapons. You really need to read the rules more.

Ya, this was our first time playing the game so I decided to play fast and loose with the rules. I wanted my players to get a feel for the universe and not be bogged down by everything. I slowly start to incorporate some of the rules as we go into future sessions though. Still, its always a healthy balance between the rules and what looks awesome. Ill be honest though, it always skews towards awesome : ) .

This was a lot of fun to listen to. I think you should keep an eye on the guy who was taking fingers, though; collecting body parts is almost always a sign of heresy.

  6. Arvandus says:

Keep listening and you’ll realize that it was just the first sign of a slow descent into heresy.
