My evil artifact that would get out of control and destroy the city would be a chest full of strange ancient devices that are capable of numerous functions with a mere touch, but the one thing that would doom the city would be a hidden evil within called Pokemon Go. This sinister curse would make the townspeople believe they were surrounded by invisible monsters viewable only through the devices, and that they could also use the devices to capture and train these creatures. The townspeople would pit their monsters against each other, then the losers would be enraged and attack the other owners for real, and chaos would reign!
Anyway, great series. I’m still traumatized by Kosher Kannibal Korner or whatever that restaurant was called.
Pokemon Go. Never had I heard of a concept so evil.
