That was an awesomely abrupt way to end the first part. I can only assume that this was actually the final loop and now there will be no more story ever since everyone’s dead?
SO GOOD. That link works so well, too, from the first story to the second. PERFECT.
ugh, so good. so good. so so good. (although I think an opportunity was missed by not having more things they have to actually relive each day! the more mundane aspect of Groundhogging, where you get the same fucking call from your mother every fucking day)
Oh this clinches it. All the awesome and atmosphere of your typical nWoD games with the added bonus of consistent crazy. This series of games is getting to be as a good as HEX or Rogue Trader, as your series go.
It does make me wonder what would happen if you guys went for one of the “PCs are supernatural” sub-systems like VtR/M (especially as David has repeatedly implied his history with the system) but that will likely go unanswered till the Fandiban on new systems is lifted.
Question, which I believe has been answered elsewhere but I can’t remember where, how many sessions will the God-Machine series go on for?
So glad you’re all enjoying the game so much! It fills the dark, twisted little lump that I call a heart with Joy. 🙂 This is the second session, I’m planning three more before this storyline is finished. There will, hopefully, be more God Machine after, but it’ll be a new story with new characters.
Just Laughing the entire way through this episode. For such a serious and depressing world setting, you all have injected such remarkable levity. This storyline is fantastic! All props to Dan for telling such a great story! But seriously you all had me laughing out loud so many times through this episode! I am looking forward to continuing the rest of the storyline!
