Rogue Trader Ep 2: Xenos Night Out part 1 of 3

With the Capt and Void Master busy with other matters on a neighboring ship, the xenos crew members find themselves bored with nothing to do. Thankfully, a strange signal from the cargo hold will present them with a interesting, and somewhat snarky, package.

I’ve listened to all of the podcasts you guys have posted but this one, more than all the others had laughing the entire way through.

actually to be honest i was laughing as soon as i saw the concept. The captain and the void master leave the Xenos mercs alone on the ship without giving anyone the authority or firepower neccessary to keep them under control or at least occupied.

You guys are definitely developing as a group, playing the rules fast and loose and having real fun with it.

Billy: Playing an Ork has got to be one of the greatest RP challenges out there and you’ve managed to pull it off in a damn believable fashion. Taking over the ork ship in the last RT game was particularly good. Are you playing out all of the Ork talents and attributes though? Furious assault can be fun and verry orky 🙂

Also: Is there a bar on this ship?

Angela: That clicky bird sound still makes me laugh every time since it’s always dramatically appropriate. I can just imagine the Kroot sighing or bristling every time you do it, brilliant. I will ask though, why do all of your characters tend to eat people? (looking forward to hearing from Rat again)

David: Such believable arrogance from the explorator and a sound approach to combat. Personally i thought the creative use of the servo skull was perfect and probably would have given a GM fiat bonus for creative thinking and high grade RP.

Anyway guys thanks for posting these, i look forward to the next installment.

I haven’t the slightest clue why my characters have taken that particular turn. I’m going to blame Jesus for continuing to make it an option!

We have a couple of other game ideas being bounced around, and I promise none of them will be cannibals. Heck, I might just go vegetarian for awhile.

  3. Barsher Da Barsher says:

Glad you are enjoying us! We’re all still pretty new to the system (We just realized you don’t get two attacks a round…) so we all are figuring out how to fight proper which means we need to look up all those ‘specials’ we can do. I think all I know about is ‘Charge’.

But thanks for the advice! I’ll look those up by next game!

My games always bring out the best in my players. The evil evil best : ).

I feel like it’s not enough to say that Barsher’s a damn fine job of orkishness. I feel like we have to clarify that Barsher’s the ultimate ork, describing, parodying and exemplifying the best in all things orky. picking a fight over breathing air makes this undeniable.

  6. John H says:

Not to take anything away from anyone else but Billy = Awesome! Barsher is one of the best characters I’ve heard in a long time. Really enjoying the podcasts.

Hey guys love this podcast, love the RP. I RP on the freeboota forum a lot and I see you guys are from New York. Mind me asking what part? My home town is New Rochelle.
